Temperatures are dropping and we’re falling into fall. Your hair, makeup and nails should be falling right along with the season. Our Creative Teams have been hard at work to prepare a brief, but fact-filled list of what’s fabulous for fall. Keep on reading to stay ahead of the trend….
70s
HAIR: Groovy locks, ya dig?
The 70s were super popular this Spring and are continuing to be a mainstay this fall. A blunt bang can pair with nearly every hair style. A middle part is super 70s and super popular. Worn straight is a good bet but for the groovy 70s look, wear with curls or a slight wave – moving away from the face rather than toward it.
EYES: Pop those peepers.

Whether it's a bold inspired cat eye or a meticulously lined lid, grab your favorite little black pencil and pop those peepers! Use
Youngblood's Blackest Black kohl pencil to make this Fall's softer version of the classic cat-eye. Try the new
Youngblood Incredible Wear Gel Liner to get a perfect line of intense color. Available in 5 fabulous water resistant shades that won't smudge or run. Add lots of black mascara for fluttery, flirty lashes.
NAILS: Punchy brights = super 70s.
Punchy brights in the Touring America collection by OPI satisfy any 70s-inspired color craving.
Are We There Yet? is a luminous melon;
I Eat Mainely Lobster is a punchy coral;
Color to Diner For is a classic, iconic red and
My Address is "Hollywood" is a retty rose-pink.
CLEAN & SIMPLE
HAIR: Sleek & down or sleek & up, you pick.
Fall’s looks for hair can be relatively straight forward. Very clean, sleek, one length cuts are certainly simple and very popular. If looking for a more formal evening design, the
classic chignon has remained popular since the beginning of the year.
EYES : Focus on brows, plain and simple.
Well-defined brows are making a strong comeback this fall. Great eyebrows frame beautiful eyes. So make an appointment with your favorite esthetician to get your brows in shape! Further define the eye brows using
Youngblood's Brow Kit. The powder is easy to use and fills in sparse brows. Keep the rest of your makeup natural and generously apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. Look beautiful and polished in a flash.
NAIL: Neutral is the way to go.
Neutral hues of chocolate, olive and taupe are leading the clean and simple trend this fall. OPI
Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window is a vivid olive hue.
Suzi Takes the Wheel is an industrial, concrete blue-grey while
French Quarter for Your Thoughts is a warmer, softer purpled grey. These shades are all crèmes and go on your nails like butter! YUM!
BOLD
HAIR: Thinking about something bold? GO FOR IT!
Go for the gusto this fall with BOLD colors and accessories. If you’re a loyalist to low lights, we know they look great – so, this fall try something new and go for a BOLD new look with a new color! Try
red, copper, brown auburn or whatever color your little heart desires! If you’re thinking it…we can help you do it!

For extra bits of fun,
feather extensions, leather strips, bold colors of fabric (head bands, clips, etc) are being braided or pinned into the hair for a fun new look! And, we’re pretty pumped to say that feather extensions are a new service offering at our salons – so, let’s go for it!
LIPS: Make a statement with lip color
.
Lips ran a range of shades on the fall runways from soft pink to vivid reds and burgundies. Wear matte shades of soft mauve and rosy pink alone as a statement or with darker eyes to soften the overall look. Try Youngblood lipstick shades in
Rosewood, Smolder, or
Sorbet. Feeling bold? Opt for a bright shade of red like
Vivid or dramatic burgundy like
Bistro.
NAILS: Dark and delightful.
OPI’s
I Brake for Manicures is a dark, muted, dusty plum and
Honk If You Love OPI is a deep, rich plum purple – both are delightful complements to the fall landscape.
Roadhouse Blues is a deep, perfect blue-purple.
